My Writer Bio

With a master's degree in journalism, 10+ in the media, and several writing awards under my belt, I am your go-to gal. I have extensive experience writing across all media platforms--print, web, TV broadcast. I have won four national Emmys and other prestigious awards, including a Writers Guild nomination. My expert knowledge area is medical writing, with a sub-specialty of oncology (cancer). But I am also in the broadcast and filmmaking business, and I've taught Media Aesthetics at the college level. So movie/TV reviews are also my specialty. Third, I have produced more than a half dozen episodes of the PBS series NOVA, and I began my career at SCIENCE NEWS magazine: Science writing in general is one of my specialties.
